Suitable for
Devon is a men's extra wide Velcro Close shoe in a 6V fitting from established shoemakers DB Shoes, who are highly regarded for their wider width range.
The 6V width fitting allows the depth and width to be increased from a 6E to an 8E fitting if required.
The extra depth and deep toe box in the Devon will happily accommodate a high instep or swollen feet, and the shoe comes with longer straps which can be cut to fit (please note that once cut, the shoes cannot be returned). Dual Velcro straps help to ensure a comfortable and supportive fit.
The shoe is very easy to put on and opens up for easy access.
The uppers are made from soft leather with mesh ventilation panels to keep your feet cool. The soft, padded heel collar also prevents rubbing when walking.
The sole is lightweight, flexible, and a joy to walk in and the heel is flared for improved stability.
Devon comes with two insoles that can be removed if you have orthotics.
It is a sporty and comfortable shoe, perfect for gentlemen who have found it challenging to get a comfortable and supportive shoe that will accommodate foot conditions such as Oedema and advanced gout or hammertoes.
The comfort features in the Devon also make them suitable for Diabetics or those with Peripheral neuropathy.

This model is a 6V width fitting.
A 6V fitting is an extra-wide fitting, and one of our widest. This fitting offers lots of width and extra depth in the toe area.
A 6V fitting means the fit can be adjusted to increase the depth of the shoe, increasing it from a 6E to an 8E fitting.
Additional depth in a shoe is important for conditions such as hammertoes, bunions, gout and swelling as it stops toes rubbing against the top of the shoe which can cause irritation and discomfort.
A variable fit is recommended for those who may need to adjust the fit over the day or are recovering from a procedure where the foot is swollen as the fit can be reduced as the swelling recedes.
These width fittings are not available on the high street, even at well known wide fitting shops.
