IDEAL FOR THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:

Wetherby, from DB Shoes, is a men's wide fitting walking boot in a 6V width fitting.

The super-soft Wetherby is a 6E fitting and the air-cushioned insole can be removed for extra depth to create an 8E fit or to insert your own orthotics.

This boot will give great support for those with ankle problems or other serious foot issues. The seam-free toe box is deep so will comfortably accommodate large bunions, hammertoes and painful corns.

The leather upper is ultra-soft and the Wetherby also offers padded lining and a luxury padded collar. The soft leathers also make this a great choice for men who suffer from gout.

This boot is very lightweight and has odour resistant, anti-bacterial insoles, so perfect for long walks or weekend activities.

We should also add that the leather uppers have also been treated so they are water-resistant and are backed by waterproof taping on the seams to keeps your feet dry and the soles offer excellent grip.

Overall a fantastic walking boot for long country walks or urban exploring.

Healthy Footwear Guide approved shoe.

A  6V fitting is an extra-wide fitting, and one of our widest. This fitting offers lots of width and extra depth in the toe area.

A 6V fitting means the fit can be adjusted to increase the depth of the shoe, increasing it from a 6E to an 8E fitting.

Additional depth in a shoe is important for conditions such as hammertoes, bunions, gout and swelling as it stops toes rubbing against the top of the shoe which can cause irritation and discomfort.

A variable fit is recommended for those who may need to adjust the fit over the day or are recovering from a procedure where the foot is swollen as the fit can be reduced as the swelling recedes.

These width fittings are not available on the high street, even at well known wide fitting shops.
