- What is a 2E Fitting?
Selmen, from Skechers, is a men's 2E wide fit walking and hiking style trainer.
Selmen is made from durable waterproof leather uppers and is packed with comfort features to ensure a fantastic weekend hike or just a casual walk about town.
The shoe is fitted with air-cooled memory foam insoles to cushion and keep the feet cool when walking. A great feature if you find your feet getting hot and uncomfortable on longer walks when the weather is warm. The breathable mesh around the tongue area also allows air to circulate and help with keeping your feet fresh and ready for action.
The soles are flexible yet durable and offer high levels of traction and support. The midsole has also been designed to offer excellent levels of shock absorption to protect knees and joints on longer walks.
Skechers have thought a lot about the design and visual appearance of this style and this comes through in the detailing on the Selmen. Thoughtful additions such as metal top eyelets, toe and heel bumper overlays and stitching accents on the upper create an eye-catching, rugged, hiking style sneaker.
The fit is a 2E, or what Skechers call a 'Relaxed Fit', so a good fitting for those with a wider foot but not suffering from serious foot issues such as severe swelling of the feet. If you find high street shoes a bit of a squeeze this could be the perfect shoe for you.
All orders are shipped via Royal Mail, on a 48hr Tracked service to give you complete peace of mind. You will receive a copy of your tracking number via email when your order has been dispatched, and you can track your package on the Royal Mail website if needed.

You can return any item within 30 days of purchase as long as it is unworn and in its original packaging.
If you need to send an item back to us, please include the returns form sent with your order. If you have misplaced the returns form, don't worry, we can email you another copy.
Once our returns department has received your parcel, we will refund the payment card used for the original purchase.
If you require a different size, we recommend ordering the new size online and returning the incorrect size for a refund.
If the shoe you purchased was not suitable then why not give us a call. We have over 30 years experience helping customers get the right footwear and we would be happy to advise you on another style, fitting or size that would be more suitable.
Most of the shoes you'll find on the high street are a C or D width fitting. A D fitting is a standard or medium width (a C fitting is narrow). An 2E fit signifies it is a wide fitting.
A 2E fitting is wider than our E fitting. So, if high street shoes are nearly always a tight squeeze then a 2E or even a 3E fitting is a good width to look at.

If you require extra depth in your shoes, then we would recommend you look at our range of 4E or 4V fittings which offer extra width but also additional depth inside the shoe to stop toes rubbing the top of the shoe.
